ART CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS AND TEENS -
WINTER/SPRING 2017

Class and Workshop Registration Ongoing

Dannielle Mick has developed her own unique curriculum based on her 23 years of teaching students of all ages and all media. Geared for the serious young artist, classes at Lakeside Art Studio are developed to give a thorough knowledge of art in a step-by-step process, based on complexity of subject and media.

Beginning with Adventures in Drawing, students first study value, shape, line and form, as they work their way towards learning about composition. The next step is Drawing with Color, where they learn the foundation of color theory and design, including complimentary colors, warm vs. cool, and pure vs. dull, among other color theories. The next step offered is Intermediate Watercolor Study, where students are encouraged to work on their own subject matter and introduced to a new media. Learning various techniques and applications and applying them to different surfaces, students explore design, composition, color intensity and saturation.

If you have questions about in which class to enroll your young artist, please contact Ms. Dannielle.

The following kids art classes and workshops are offered for this semester. To register for one or more art classes, check off the box to the left of the art class and scroll down to complete and submit the online registration form. Students are encouraged to register early as art classes fill quickly.

1. Adventures in Drawing - Ages 8-13

Instructor: Dannielle Mick

If your child has the desire to learn, Lakeside Art Studio is the place to be! The artist's studio offers a professional setting for the budding artist to develop their creative side. We limit the size of classes so the young artist is offered more attention in this exciting, fun and creative environment. Starting with a variety of exercises in value, shape, line and form, and then expanding into composition and light source they will learn to appreciate common everyday scenes with new eyes. They will work from still life, photographs, and on location. Students will learn at a young age how to keep a journal of their drawings as a record of their growth. Join the fun and learn the basics. All materials supplied.
