Oil painting is the process of painting with pigments that use drying oil as the binder. It is one of the oldest methods of painting. The depth and richness achieved with oil paints is unmatched in any other media. In this class students will learn oil painting basics and become familiar with paint, mediums, brushes and surfaces. Value, color theory and composition will be covered on a regular basis. Students will be encouraged to work from nature, photographs, still life and their own imagination. Danielle will work one on one with each student to help achieve their own artistic vision. This is a structured class with planned curriculum. STUDENTS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN MATERIALS.
