This informative and fun course explores the ever-expanding world of pastel techniques, including handmade surfaces and toning and the elements of hard versus soft pastels. Value, color theory and composition will be covered on a regular basis. Students will be encouraged to work from nature, photographs, still life and their own imagination. Dannielle will work one on one with each student to help achieve their own artistic vision. This is a structured class with planned curriculum. Demonstrations, plein air painting and gallery tours round out this versatile course. STUDENTS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN MATERIALS.
